And people wonder how we’ve become so inured to the violence perpetrated in our names.

“Would you like a little over the knee with that empanada, madame?”

When I finally made it to the store yesterday, this giant Christmas snow-globe greeted us. Aside from it being all 9/11 and shit, it’s not even fucking Halloween yet.
Anyway, primate jr dug it.
I have this 100 year old oak in my front yard that’s the first tree near my house to loose its leaves in the fall. The other day it was 95F with 95% humidity outside, and what do I see on the steps leading to my front door?

Cue The Byrds.
This is a shitty cameraphone pic of a Diabold branded ATM machine at the Delta Baggage claim at La Guardia airport taken on Saturday, July 16th at around 9:15.

I didn’t find any models on Diebold’s site that looked anything remotely like this one. Also, I was at that exact terminal standing at the exact same spot over the July 4th weekend, and I didn’t see it then (which may just mean I wasn’t paying attention, but this thing really grabbed me this time, so I doubt it.)
Now, I know Diebold makes lots of ATMs and always has, but I’ve never seen a Diebold branded ATM before. Should I be concerned about this machine taking my picture, recording my transactions and the fact that I was at the Delta baggage claim area at LGA on a certain date and time? Should the fact that it had what appeared to be stereoscopic cameras with a view of the only choke point in the egress from the baggage claim concern me?
Naw. They’d never sublimate their machines to the service of government shenanigans.
